Smoothies originally came to us from the beaches of California. Where locals would drink refreshing blends of orange juice, bananas and strawberries, with or without ice, that eventually were referred to as smoothies. With the wide array of smoothie recipies, I decided to start in a safe place, a fruit smoothie.
In a blender, I combine:
- 1 Cup Guava juice
- 1 Mango, quartered
- 1 kiwifruit, quartered
- 1/2 Papaya fruit, quartered
- 1 banana
- 3 scoops vanilla ice cream
Blend until smooth.
